I was invited to a Hari Raya get together at the Istana, on the first week of raya, hosted by the Minister for the Environment and Water Resources and Minister -in -charge of Muslim Affairs, Dr Yacob Ibrahim .
Guests included dignitaries from embassies, community leaders and volunteers. I was lucky to be chosen to represent the self help organisation, Yayasan Mendaki. I was an active volunteer with this organization for almost 8 years and this is the first time I was ever invited to a Hari Raya gathering there. A few of my fellow volunteers were also invited and we had so much fun eating under the stars at the lawn and just chill out talking.
